Off to Marathon Worlds!

Tomorrow the Swiss Team will drive to Rome to the Marathon Worlds. It’s quite a familiar team, my brother Silvan, my parents Bernadette and Heinz and the only one with not a Wyss-Name is Peter Lüthi our Marathon coach and former world class marathon paddler. He will race the Masters on Wednesday. After that he will coach us with his big experience.

The first race will be held on Friday, I will start in the Single Kayak in the Under-23 category. Because this is my first Marathon World Championship I don’t know so well the concurrence. Sure the Silver medallist from Olympic Games in London Fernando Pimenta is the big name in the U23 category. I hope for a spectacular race and the result I will analyse after. But sure I hope for another good result in my last race in the U23 category! This race will go over 25.8km.

The Double Kayak race on Sunday I will race with my older brother Silvan. We never raced together in the same boat. Because he is usually a Wildwater-Paddler we never competed together at a World Championship. So this event means a lot for us both and we hope for a good result in the hard Senior K2 Category! This race will go over 30.1km.

Thanks to all the sponsors for our K2 Project! Only with them we can finance this World Championships! You find them in the article! Also a big thank to our Marathon coach Peter Lüthi!
